Job Title: Senior Electrical (EC+I) Engineer

At CV Library, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical (EC+I) Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering electrical process systems for our global clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and engineer electrical control panels, instrumentation, and electrical installations for process plants in the food, beverage, personal care, and homecare industries.
  2. Develop engineering specifications for electrical control panels, instrumentation, and electrical installations.
  3. Manage control panel manufacturing, liaising with suppliers and assisting with testing control panels before shipment to site.
  4. Create Load/Motor, Instrument, and I/O Schedules from P&ID and relevant equipment data sheets.
  5. Liaise with site and project teams for the duration of the installation and support site managers during the installation period if any design questions arise.
  6. Design electrical loop diagrams, cable routes, and layouts.
  7. Approve Control Panel schematics and layouts, incorporating connection data onto electrical loop diagrams.
  8. Configure and commission instruments and VSDs, and support I/O testing with the wider project team.
  9. Assist with power-up procedures once installation is complete.
  10. Assist with I/O testing and early-stage commissioning.
  11. Prepare site commissioning files complete with construction status electrical drawings.
  12. Complete and issue electrical drawings to the documentation team on completion of the project.
Technical Requirements:
  1. Ensure that all electrical criteria are met from initial concept through detailed design, panel testing, and handover as defined in the project documentation.
  2. Have a good understanding of the food, beverage, personal care, and homecare industries, including all relevant regulations and certifications.
  3. Have a good understanding of control systems (such as Siemens or Rockwell), Profibus DP, Profinet, and industrial Ethernet networks.
  4. Be able to design and specify control systems utilizing IO Link, Profinet, Profibus DP, Profibus PA, ASI networks, and HART/4-20mA technologies.
  5. Be able to create end-user documentation and liaise with the after-sales department to complete the project manual.
Qualifications:
  1. HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant industry experience.
Experience:
  1. 7+ years of experience in the design and engineering of electrical process systems.
  2. Ability to design control systems from P&ID's and Process Data Sheets of project documentation (electrical drawings, proposals, and specifications).
  3. AutoCAD and Microsoft Office literate.
  4. Control Panel Design and Testing.
  5. Understanding of electrical regulations relating to Hazardous Area applications.
  6. Ability to work alone and as a team.
  7. Planning and Organisational skills.
  8. UK Driving Licence.
