Job Overview:

Hellens Residential is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to support the delivery of our high-quality housing management service. As a Housing Management Specialist, you will work closely with our in-house support teams and key stakeholders to ensure that we provide a sensitive and responsive service to tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the management team in ensuring compliance with legislation and good practice in providing housing for vulnerable people.
  2. Manage tenant applications and conduct viewings to allocate rental properties.
  3. Be the lead contact with local authorities allocations teams to facilitate the allocation process.
  4. Carry out Start Key handovers and Home Welcome Visits to ensure a smooth transition for new tenants.
  5. Provide holiday cover for Home Co-Ordinators and report back to the team at weekly meetings.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the quality of our housing management service.

Requirements:

  • First degree in a relevant field (e.g. housing, social work, law).
  • Excellent record-keeping and administrative skills.
  • Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport.
  • Ability to travel independently around the north of England.
  • Professional attire and ability to represent the company in a positive manner.

Working Arrangements:

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday working hours.
  • Free parking on-site.
