Job Title: Chef - Bank

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, create nutritious and flavorsome menus, and provide exceptional hospitality to our residents.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Chef to work in a healthcare setting with a focus on delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. You will assist the Head Chef in creating menus, managing the kitchen, and working closely with residents to cater to their preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and flavorsome menus
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
  • Work fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes
  • Help create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Manage stock control and work within budget
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team
Requirements:
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Good understanding of HACCP
