Role Summary:
Are you an accomplished Facilities Engineering Specialist seeking a rewarding opportunity? This position offers a unique chance to showcase your engineering skills and contribute to groundbreaking initiatives.
With a robust background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design, you will take charge of our comprehensive suite of Facilities Design Guidelines, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated. Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate standardized engineering solutions into project planning, evaluate proposed modifications to the design guidelines, and develop budgets for major maintenance and lifecycle planning.
Key Duties:
- Assess the condition of facilities and perform ongoing detailed evaluations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Collaborate with Facilities Management site operations leaders to prioritize tasks based on organizational goals and facility conditions.
- Drive the shift towards a proactive asset management strategy in accordance with ISO55001 standards.
- Serve as the representative for the Facilities Management Operations team regarding any new installations.
- Efficiently implement standardized engineering solutions.
- Act as a Senior Authorising Person responsible for Mechanical Safety Regulations.
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated experience in Facilities Engineering, particularly in Mechanical Engineering and the design and specification of mechanical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructures.
- Experience in drafting scopes of work and performance specifications for maintenance and capital projects.
- Understanding of asset management principles, including ISO55001.
- Familiarity with evaluating and implementing energy-efficient practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Chartered Engineer status and membership in CIBSE is preferred but not mandatory.
