Biomedical Support Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Biomedical Support Worker. The successful candidate will provide administrative and technical support to our laboratory team, ensuring the smooth operation of our histology department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reception and sorting of specimens, including moving containers and performing computer data entry
  • General laboratory duties, including replacing chemicals, performing daily maintenance on laboratory machines, and making up chemical stock solutions
  • Scanning of slides for digital pathology and filing of departmental slides, blocks, and specimens to ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • GCSEs in English, Maths, and science
  • IT skills
  • Previous laboratory experience is advantageous, but not required
