Solution Architect

Pixel Power, a leading subsidiary of Rohde & Schwarz, is seeking a highly skilled Solution Manager to join our dynamic team.
We specialize in software-defined virtualized playout solutions with integrated graphics and branding for broadcasters and media companies delivering content to multiple platforms.
This role reports directly to VP Sales & Marketing and blends solution architect, pre-sales engineering, project engineer, and product manager, providing deep technical expertise during the pre-sales process through to signed-off specification.
The RolePresale
- Work with Account Manager/Regional Sales Manager to qualify opportunities, perform product demonstrations, and lead technical discussions.
- Gather information to architect a solution, evaluate existing functionality, and establish required integrations with third-party products and solutions.
- Define proof-of-concept requirements, including success criteria and commercial implications.
- Be responsible for the technical aspects of RFI/RFP/general response, including drawings, specifications, and workflow descriptions.
- Ensure proposed timescales are realistic, taking into account development and integration requirements and other project loading.
- Attend formal negotiations and Q&A sessions as technical lead.
Post sale
- Work with Services team, R&D, and the customer to refine requirements and specification to produce an accepted Statement of Work/Specification for the provided solution.
- Initiate the project kick-off, handing over responsibility for execution to the services team.
- Assist with scoping and technical clarification of any change requests.
- Be available to the services team as needed for clarification of the SOW/Specification.
- Deep technical knowledge of Pixel Power products and solutions (master control playout, graphics, multiviewing, and monitoring).
- Deep understanding of end-to-end workflows, integrations, and equipment used in broadcast playout and production environments.
- Customer-facing, able to build trust and confidence quickly.
- Comfortable in a formal meeting environment, outnumbered 12:1 with technical questioning.
