At ELTHAM PALACE PMS, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Apprentice Family Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Medical Care Delivery: Provide effective medical care to our patients, adhering to local and national guidelines.
- Service Provision: Offer services commensurate with our primary care contract, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Prescribing: Prescribe medications in accordance with local and national guidance, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Long-term Condition Management: Effectively manage long-term conditions, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care and support.
- Administrative Tasks: Process administrative tasks efficiently, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated tasks.
- Triage and Duty Doctor Roles: Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
- Clinical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to best practice and guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the practice team, accepting an equal share of workload and contributing to a positive and supportive environment.
- Quality Initiatives: Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Delegated Responsibilities: Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
- Practice Meetings: Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
- Practice Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance and training.
- Appraisal and Revalidation: Ensure compliance with the appraisal process and prepare for revalidation, maintaining professional standards.
- Continuing Professional Development: Commit to self-learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team.
- Medical Student Support: Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Practice Strategy: Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.
- Practice Protocols: Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies, ensuring seamless patient care and practice operations.
- Culture of Continuous Improvement: Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
