Job Title: Labourer (Social Housing)

We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team at VANRATH, a leading Construction Company in Derry, Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking various tasks and duties as a Labourer, including assisting the Foreman in producing a quality product within the contract period, adhering to SHEQ requirements, and providing a high-quality service to tenants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake duties/responsibilities as a Labourer to the standards set out by the contract and in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies, and Procedures.
  • Assist the Foreman in producing a quality product within the contract period.
  • Understand, implement, and adhere to SHEQ requirements.
  • Ensure efficient use of the Impact system.
  • Adhere to the Client contract KPI's and target dates and timeframes.
  • Provide a high-quality service to tenants, specifically within domestic properties that are either occupied or void.
  • Undertake other multiskilled duties as required.
  • Attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety.
  • Work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures.
  • Use protective equipment, substances, and tools/equipment in accordance with instructions and training given.
  • Ensure van stock is processed and managed accordingly.
  • Ensure that your work is carried out to the highest quality and within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Ensure any additional work is captured and communicated to the relevant person, so that the company can invoice for additional work completed.
  • Compliance with materials/workmanship schedules.
  • Maintain and care for all company tools.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment, wear appropriate clothing/uniform.
  • Ensure areas of work are left clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office, etc.
  • Be responsible for your own safety and all others around you.
  • Material co-ordination and organisation.
  • Ensure accurate/timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation.
The Ideal Person:

We are looking for an experienced Labourer with a valid CSCS/CSR Card, working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation, good communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to demonstrate good teamwork values.

A full, valid driving license is also required.
