The Role

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities within your designated area, managing a team of professionals, and driving efficiency, productivity, and quality improvements. You will work closely with the General Manager to establish priorities, lead and coordinate activities, and maximize performance to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Team Leaders and personnel within your area of responsibility.
  • Establish and prioritize tasks to achieve operational excellence.
  • Lead and coordinate all activities within your area, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Maximize performance and achieve production targets set by the General Manager.
  • Implement and embed lean manufacturing tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, food hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and cost control.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in production management within a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to devise, develop, and implement systems and procedures to drive operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Coaching, motivating, and developing a team to improve colleague engagement and meet production demands.
  • BRC (British Retail Consortium) audits and retailer audits experience.
  • Practical implementation of good food hygiene and health and safety practices.
