Job Overview:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Highways Manager to join our Shared Services Partnership team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to our highways management team.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: You will oversee a team of up to 50 staff and lead on the delivery of both reactive and proactive highway maintenance. This will involve collaborating with other Highways Managers and our Service Contractor to provide strategic leadership and direction to the team.

Asset Management: You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our highways assets, including identifying and implementing improvements to the network. You will work closely with our Service Contractor to explore new ways of working with our partners and supply chain to encourage collaboration and improve the service we provide.

Financial Management: You will have good knowledge of financial management and the application of asset management principles. You will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of financial management and the application of asset management principles.

Communication and Collaboration: You will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships at all levels. You will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of communication and collaboration.
