Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team at Major Leeds Manufacturing, specializing in glass production.

Employment Type:
This is a permanent position.

Licensing Requirements:
Applicants must possess a valid and current forklift counterbalance license.

Working Hours:
Currently, the shifts are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. However, there is potential for a transition to 12-hour shifts over a 4-day workweek in the near future.

Annual Salary:
£26,125

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage stock movements within the facility.
2. Efficiently load and unload vehicles.
3. Verify that driver documentation matches dispatch pallets, ensuring a final check of loads before vehicle loading.
4. Ensure that loads are secured according to company standards.
5. Maintain stock levels for decorating and accurately scan decorated stock back into the system after processing.
6. Keep the production area free from waste packaging.
7. Inspect incoming stock, receipt it using bar-code systems, and store it safely.
8. Assess pallets for cleanliness and damage, ensuring proper cleaning or setting aside for repairs as necessary.
9. Check the integrity of shrink wrap on pallets, re-bagging any that are compromised.
10. Conduct pre-loading checks of trailers to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
11. Maintain housekeeping standards.
12. Achieve departmental targets as required.
13. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Valid forklift truck license (counterbalance or reach).
- Numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent).
- Basic computer skills are desirable.
