Job Summary:
KBS Maritime Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading financial transaction ownership, including cost allocation, timesheet recording, and accruals/prepayments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the revenue cycle from initial recognition through to customer billing.
- Manage, upskill, and develop the existing Projects team of three (One Accountant and Two Cost Controllers).
- Prepare accurate forecasts and proactively business partner to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful provisions and feedback of all project reporting.
- Deliver end-to-end accounting support of facilities management and construction projects across various sectors.
Requirements:
- Prior employment experience within the defence sector or construction services (desirable).
- Exposure to preparing management accounting transactions for a complex organisation.
- Demonstratable experience explaining financial results to non-specialists.
- Highly IT literate (proficient in MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
- Familiarity with SAP B1 or experience in other complex ERP systems.
- Proven experience in statutory reporting processes, including the provision of information to auditors.
- Qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), QBE/PQ may also be considered.
