Quantity Surveyor Trainee

Our client, a family-run civils and groundworks business, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Trainee to join their team in Launceston. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and monitoring subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract administration: Communicating with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance: Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is followed.
  • Project development: Assisting in the development of project plans and schedules.
  • Project budget management: Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Project specifications: Analyzing project specifications and assessing cost implications in collaboration with senior quantity surveyors.
  • Subcontractor management: Monitoring subcontractors and stages of construction.
  • Travel: Traveling to construction sites, company fixed locations, or other locations as requested by senior management.
