Position Overview: Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in London. This role involves executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), addressing reactive maintenance issues, managing small-scale projects, and responding to help desk inquiries, all while adhering to client and JLL standards. The technician will also oversee the operational functionality of the building and issue permits for specialist vendors, ensuring safe isolation procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and urgent repairs of electrical systems, fire safety equipment, and mechanical services.
  • Collaborate with administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of PPM and reactive tasks.
  • Document all engineering activities and incidents for review by the Shift Leader.
  • Ensure all PPM tasks are executed within established service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Uphold safety standards in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) and specific client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all work activities.
  • Respond promptly to all maintenance requests and help desk inquiries.
  • Coordinate with visiting specialist contractors and review engineering reports with the Shift Leader.
  • Foster positive relationships with all building occupants, addressing their requests and instructions professionally.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of an Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship.
  • Familiarity with critical business assets, including UPS systems, emergency power generation, and air conditioning.
  • Certification from recognized HSE training courses.
  • Proven experience in the electrical and mechanical maintenance of commercial properties.
  • Understanding of building management system (BMS) controls and their operational implications.
  • Demonstrated excellence in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
