About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work with children aged 8-19 who require additional support due to challenging behaviour, complex communication needs, learning difficulties, or autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with challenging behaviour, promoting positive relationships and a safe learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal times, and homework completion.
  • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • DBS certificate with a live subscription to the update service.
