About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Aggreko. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our electrical systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the capture and management of electrical systems requirements, design, development, integration, validation, and commissioning activities for our complete product range.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, functional design specifications, and test procedures for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical deliverables meet time, cost, and quality needs of new product developments.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to major technical quality investigations.
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering solutions to improve operating and manufacturing processes, and to meet new market needs.
Requirements
  • Experience in electrical circuit and equipment specification, with ability to produce design calculations for all aspects of electrical systems up to 13.8kV.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, with knowledge of EPLAN P8, EPLAN Pro Panel, EPLAN Harness, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of engineering systems and processes, including PLM systems, MRP systems, engineering change control, international standards, component selection, and new product development processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical controls, including panel building and installation, generator controls, motor control centers, and drives.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements to produce schematic and wiring diagrams, and all part specifications of the electrical system.
  • Flexibility to meet a fluctuating workload and a wide variety of problems.
