About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Weight Optimization Specialist to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting weight and balance calculations for aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to optimize weight distribution for aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Weight and Balance Calculations: Conduct thorough weight and balance calculations for aircraft systems, taking into account various factors such as aircraft design, materials, and operational requirements.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all weight-related calculations and analyses are in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to aircraft weight limits.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with design and engineering teams to optimize weight distribution for aircraft components, and effectively communicate weight-related information to stakeholders.
  4. Weight Analysis and Reporting: Perform weight analysis for modifications or upgrades to existing aircraft, and generate weight reports and documentation for certification purposes.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in weight engineering within the aerospace industry.
  3. Skills: Proficiency in weight and balance calculation software, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced Education: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering.
  2. Professional Certification: Professional certification in weight engineering.
Working Conditions

The role of an Aerospace Weight Optimization Specialist typically involves working in an office environment, collaborating with various teams within the aerospace and engineering industries. Occasional travel to aircraft manufacturing facilities or testing sites may be required.
