About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Specifications Technologist to join our client, a leading multi-site food manufacturing business. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining product specifications that meet legal and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write specifications for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with legal and customer requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to develop and modify product specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including NPD, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, to obtain necessary information for specification development.
- Stay up-to-date with local and international food labelling regulations, including allergen and nutrition labelling.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a specification technologist role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Experience in creating and managing food product specifications.
- Strong understanding of food ingredient functionality, nutritional analysis, and allergen management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
