About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Building Maintenance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of Carpentry works across the Trust's modern healthcare estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Carpentry works to a high standard, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of construction methods and techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Served a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant Carpentry trade.
  • Level 3 (or higher) vocational trade certificate in Carpentry, NVQ 3, C&G Level 3 or Equivalent Armed Forces Qualification.
  • Relevant and recent experience in a commercial/industrial maintenance post.
  • Proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix installation and a good knowledge of construction methods.
