We are seeking an experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our team at a well-established private nursing home in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
About the RoleAs a Deputy Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing residents' health status, assisting in clinical decision-making, and fostering effective communication among healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and assess residents' health status, assisting in clinical decision-making and problem resolution.
- Foster effective communication among healthcare team members and collaborate with other departments.
- Ensure compliance with care home policies and procedures, implementing and enforcing safety protocols.
- Manage nursing resources efficiently, participating in budget planning and control.
- Identify areas for quality improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Provide leadership to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring appropriate skill mix and staffing levels. Facilitate ongoing training and development for the nursing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and assess the quality of care delivered, conducting regular audits to identify areas for improvement. Implement and oversee measures to maintain compliance with relevant regulatory standards and policies.
- Conduct patient assessments and contribute to the development of individualized care plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care for residents.
- NMC Registered
- Experience working in a care home environment.
