Job Summary

To drive sustainable improvement and organisational change, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Lead to lead key projects using Quality Improvement methodologies. As a catalyst for developing a continuous improvement culture, you will ensure that appropriate tools, capacity, and capability are in place to support transformational change programmes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for working with the Quality Team and other senior leaders to drive forward key elements of improvement activity, supporting requests for improvement activities, scoping events, and providing advice and support.

You will develop and deliver a range of programmes that further build organisational capacity and capability, embedding quality improvement tools and techniques, sourcing expertise as required, and developing expertise in specialist areas.

You will play a key role in the delivery of the Quality team's objectives, including:

  • Appraising the team's capability available against the support required to drive priority improvement activities
  • Agreeing and developing plans to put in place a standard set of skills and tools that we will use to support transformation programmes
  • Developing and implementing a sustainable improvement plan
  • Developing a repository of improvement work that enables teams to showcase their talents

Key Responsibilities

You will be accountable for ensuring that activity plans, training plans, and databases are accurately maintained.

You will be responsible for the development of prioritised workplans, ensuring that resources are appropriately deployed as required.

You will gather, analyse, and present complex data to influence decision making and support the improvement of services.

You will frequently use advanced IT and keyboard skills to develop and manipulate Excel spreadsheets containing financial and activity information, with advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP, pivot table reporting, advanced charting, and conditional formatting.

You will lead specific programmes of work that support targeted improvement activities and lead improvement events that are directly aligned to the strategic objectives of the organisation.

You will coach and mentor staff undertaking continuous improvement training and prepare reports and case studies to demonstrate outcomes of improvement events to share learning for internal and external use.

You will prepare presentations and award submissions in relation to continuous improvement and promote this work through local and national forums.

You will quality assure improvement programmes of work, ensuring that alignment with Quality Improvement methodology is maintained.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a recognised qualification in transformational change and improvement, a Master's level qualification or equivalent level of proven experience, and significant experience in improvement methodologies having taken on the role as lead facilitator in six or more improvement projects.

You will have good presentation skills delivering improvement methodologies to large multi-professional groups, development of outstanding relationships, able to communicate effectively on issues in a variety of different ways, and advanced IT and keyboard skills.
