About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Robert Walpole and Partners, a leading engineering consultancy based in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil engineering projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Involvement:
    • Participate in the development and implementation of civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with project teams to share expertise and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Design and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough engineering analysis and design for a variety of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and utilities.
    • Utilize industry-standard software and tools for modeling and analysis.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and codes.
    • Assist in securing necessary permits and approvals for projects.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication and support.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and provide tailored solutions.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work effectively with a diverse team, including architects, structural engineers, and environmental experts.
    • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure the precision and integrity of engineering designs by adhering to strict quality control procedures.
    • Review and approve project deliverables to ensure adherence to high standards.
  • Innovation:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized institution, such as ICE, is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, demonstrating a history of successful project contributions.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and advanced structural analysis tools.
  • A solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and materials.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • A commitment to safety, sustainability, and outstanding engineering practices is highly valued.
