Job Summary:
This role covers a Quality Assurance position within the Manufacturing value stream. The role covers all internal Quality aspects linked to manufacturing processes within the value stream (Deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning elements, Corrective Action Board, Quality Station / Intervention Centre management, First Article Inspection Management etc.) and acts externally to provide feedback and liaison to the customer in aspects relating to Quality (Contract Review, Quality Plan, Customer Disruptions, Preventative and Corrective Action initiatives, First Article Inspection planning and reporting etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning elements
- Quality Station / Intervention Centre participation
- Customer Interface for Quality requirements
- Process Improvements
- Non-conformity management
- Communication Of performance (internal and to customer)
- First Article Inspection paperwork creation, review, and approval
- Create and update quality process documents
- Manage customer returns including Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activity
- Communicate with other departments, customers, and suppliers
- Product, paperwork, and system auditing
- Record database maintenance
Requirements:
- HNC / ONC / related qualification in Engineering (aeronautical, mechanical, manufacturing or production)
- Good knowledge of EN9100 Quality Management System
- Awareness / working knowledge of EN9145
- Six Sigma Certification / training / awareness
- RCCA using 8D method
- First Article Inspection to EN9102 standard
- Quality audit experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT
- Ability to contribute effectively to team-working and group discussions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Producing clear and precise written reports
- Ability to work to timescales, achieve personal deadlines and contribute to team objectives
Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK adhering to ITAR restrictions and undergo baseline security clearance.
