Position Overview:
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a seasoned legal professional specializing in Court of Protection matters. This role is pivotal in providing essential legal guidance to clients navigating complex issues within the Court of Protection framework.

Key Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate, your primary duties will include:

  • Overseeing the financial and personal welfare of clients with diminished mental capacity under the Court of Protection's jurisdiction.
  • Establishing and nurturing effective communication with clients, their families, and relevant stakeholders, including care providers and local authorities.
  • Providing comprehensive support on a variety of issues, from financial management to care arrangements.
  • Assisting with a wide range of matters, including liaising with benefits agencies and managing financial affairs.
  • Acting as a Professional Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection.
  • Delivering exceptional client service while managing intricate legal matters.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives within the Private Client team.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Court of Protection appointed Professional Deputy.
  • A proven track record of collaboration with Case Managers and Financial Advisors.
  • Expertise in Mental Capacity law.
  • Ambitious and proactive, with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in business development and leadership in client matters.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong accountability and commercial awareness.
  • Capacity to manage substantial caseloads effectively.
  • A commitment to the firm's growth and success.
