Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at a well-established manufacturer in the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical skids, including structural steel, pipework, and vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical skids, including structural steel, pipework, and vessels, in accordance with ASME VIII and PD5500 standards.
  • Work closely with the CAD/Process & Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Conduct hazard analysis, essential safety requirements, and particular material appraisal to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Carry out structural design of skids, including skid frameworks, walkways, and gantries.
  • Use StaadPro, PV Elite, and Caesar II to complete calculations required for design.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and industry standards.
  • Experience with CAD software, including StaadPro, PV Elite, and Caesar II.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £50-£60 per hour (Ltd Company – Outside IR35).
  • A 12-month initial contract with possible extensions.
