Job OverviewWe are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at the Ashby site. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory control and analysis, playing a crucial role in supply planning to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
Job Responsibilities- Manage inventory levels meticulously, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Monitor and report on inventory turnover rates and stock levels.
- Plan, manage, and control all aspects of stock inventory.
- Review and optimize replenishment processes to ensure efficient stock management.
- Support new product introductions and cost reduction initiatives by analyzing inventory data.
- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to analyze sales forecasts and adjust supply chain plans accordingly.
- Identify variances in demand and proactively adjust supply chain strategies to meet changing needs.
- Communicate potential stock shortages and excess stock internally to relevant departments.
- Interface with the Demand Planning process to ensure seamless inventory management.
- Implement processes for effective supply planning, optimizing inventory flow and minimizing disruptions.
- Manage inventory levels to meet site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Previous experience in inventory management or supply chain roles is essential.
- A strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices is required.
- Excellent numeracy and financial acumen are necessary for accurate data analysis and decision-making.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data manipulation and reporting.
- Experience with JDE ERP systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated and deadline-driven, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Highly organized and methodical approach to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
