London, United Kingdom Architecture Social Full time

Architect Position at a Premier Design Studio with Flexible Work Options

Are you an experienced Architect seeking a new opportunity within a prestigious design studio? This is a remarkable chance to become part of a well-respected architectural firm that prioritizes innovation, sustainability, and professional advancement.

This established design studio boasts a strong legacy of providing state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly solutions across various sectors, including aviation, education, transportation, hospitality, healthcare, leisure, and retail. With a presence in multiple countries, they are recognized for their commitment to excellence.

As an Architect in this studio, you will be instrumental in a comprehensive architectural design, coordination, and communication role. You will lead and manage teams, overseeing projects from initial concept through to completion, following all RIBA Plan of Work stages 0-7. This position necessitates a thorough understanding of project processes, documentation, and management tools, ensuring that design solutions are technically sound, feasible, and aligned with the studio's vision and client expectations.

You will serve as the main point of contact for specific work packages or projects, collaborating with structural, MEP services, and specialized systems to ensure their seamless integration into the overall design. Your duties will include developing general arrangement drawings, schedules, specifications, and visualizations while effectively planning and supervising the activities of project assistants to meet deadlines.

This studio fosters a collaborative atmosphere where you will engage in project design meetings, workshops, and reviews. Your ability to communicate clearly and document significant interactions will be essential. A solid understanding of construction and building regulations, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD), will keep you at the forefront of industry standards.

Commercial awareness is crucial. You will assist in managing the project's resource profile and profit targets, ensuring that any changes are documented, approved, and their implications understood. Quality management is a fundamental aspect of this practice, and you will rigorously apply their Quality Management System, contributing to internal or external audits as needed.

Beyond the technical and managerial responsibilities, you will contribute to a vibrant, motivated team environment. Your leadership will help identify training needs, support team members, and occasionally report on resources, fee forecasting, and health and safety matters.

The studio offers a competitive salary package along with a variety of benefits, including private medical insurance, eyecare vouchers, and a 5% employer pension contribution. You will also receive 20 days of annual leave, in addition to bank holidays and extra days during the holiday season. Their hybrid working policy allows for a balance between office and remote work, with a minimum of two days in the office each week and up to 10 remote working days annually.

Professional development is highly encouraged, with opportunities for CPD sessions, Revit training, and funding for professional subscriptions and examinations. Additional perks include fresh fruit in the office, a cycle-to-work scheme, and a discretionary company profit-sharing arrangement.

If you are a registered Architect with the ARB, possessing strong technical expertise, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in software such as Revit, Sketch-up, and Adobe Creative Suite, this is an opportunity to join a practice that genuinely values its team members.
