Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Financial Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support to our clients in the motor industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial health of multiple dealership sites on a daily basis.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with balance sheet control, risk management, and audit processes.
- Inventory Management: Ensure inventory checks adhere to internal standards.
- Working Capital Management: Manage working capital and conduct ongoing cost reviews.
- Financial Transactions: Handle Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the motor industry.
- Skills: Capable of working independently and supervising a small team when required.
Typical Daily Tasks
- Financial Coordination: Coordinate with local management, divisional, and group-level accounting staff to maintain consistency.
- Risk Management: Manage risk and working capital concerns.
- Financial Administration: Complete all accounts office tasks accurately and promptly.
- Vehicle Financing: Fund vehicles on the Used Vehicle Funding Portal and settle upon sale.
- Debt Collection: Pursue aged debtors.
Typical Monthly Tasks
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements.
- Financial Analysis: Reconcile manufacturer bonus debts.
- Management Reporting: Support the production of management accounts for dealership leadership, the dealership accountant, and group finance.
- Financial Adjustments: Calculate and post accruals and prepayments.
- Financial Write-Downs: Handle demo write-downs.
- Financial Submissions: Assist with Composite submissions to the Brand.
- Financial Closing: Support Sales & Purchase ledger closing.
- Debt Review: Review and report on aged debtors.
