Kody, a rapidly expanding FinTech company dedicated to transforming online payments and financial services for traditional businesses, is seeking an experienced Backend Kotlin Developer to join their dynamic team.

As a Backend Kotlin Developer at Kody, you will play a vital role in the development and upkeep of various software components that comprise the company's platform. This encompasses working on products such as mobile point-of-sale systems, payment terminals, e-commerce payment gateways, and other financial service solutions.

Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, along with expertise in cloud development utilizing containerization frameworks, is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excel within a team environment, and demonstrate a proactive approach towards achieving company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software components of Kody's platform
  • Identify and resolve system issues, providing necessary support
  • Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's development process
  • Write clean, efficient code that is easy to maintain and understand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint areas for software development improvement
  • Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in Kotlin/Java development
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend Kotlin/Java software development
  • Experience with SQL databases such as Postgres or MySQL
  • Strong understanding of APIs, specifically REST or gRPC
  • Familiarity with Git version control, preferably GitHub
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing and CI/CD deployment, utilizing tools like GitHub Actions
  • Proficiency in unit testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of agile development practices and methodologies
