Job Description:

GBA5 EntServ UK Limited is a leading provider of IT services, delivering mission-critical solutions to drive business impact. We foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and corporate citizenship, and we're seeking an experienced Oracle DBA engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor database activity to ensure high availability, security, and recoverability.
  • Develop tools to aid in event monitoring, capacity planning, and database installation.
  • Plan and implement major database upgrades and patching schedules.
  • Utilize standard corporate tools to manage incidents, problem records, and changes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in Oracle/MS SQL database design and/or maintenance.
  • Expertise in MariaDB, CassandraDB, Oracle ODA, and Oracle Cloud technology.
  • Experience working with software installation/upgrading/patching procedures and various operating systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication and leadership skills.
Work Environment:
  • Predominately virtual working with site attendance as part of a team rotation.
  • May require evening or weekend work and out-of-hours on-call in a team rotation.
