About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at a prestigious performing arts centre in central London. As a key member of our building services team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the supervision and management of a multi-disciplined trades team, ensuring the smooth operation of our building services.
  • Efficiently record all relevant data necessary for the effective operation of our equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Assist in the installation of new services and modifications, working closely with our design and engineering teams.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance, with some involvement in electrical maintenance, including boilers, plants, HVAC, electro-mechanical HVAC installations, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, and BEMs.
  • Work with our building management systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Mechanical qualification, preferably at a higher level in an appropriate mechanically biased discipline, such as HVAC, fitting, or plumbing.
  • Excellent understanding of modern building services and control systems, including low and high water temperature systems, electro-pneumatic control systems, air conditioning, BEMS/control systems, and refrigeration.
  • Experience working in a large or significant commercial building, preferably a performing arts facility, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of such environments.
  • Ability to work on a 24/7 rota/shift pattern over 28 days, with a strong commitment to providing excellent service and support to our team and clients.
  • Training and development opportunities available, including training for specific qualifications if required.
  • 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension or permanent appointment.
  • Competitive salary of £48,983 per annum, plus benefits including 36 days annual leave, parking on site, and training opportunities.
