Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine optimization models for Uniper's energy assets, including power plants, heating networks, energy storage, and renewable sources.
  • Execute models under various technical scenarios and market price sensitivities to illustrate Uniper's range of options and potential outcomes.
  • Update and maintain models to reflect evolving market and asset conditions.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of Uniper and third-party assets within core markets.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for investment decisions and strategic initiatives based on modeling results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance asset modeling and its integration with related processes.

Candidate Profile

  • PhD or Master's degree in Energy Asset Modeling, Operations Research, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in energy asset optimization and modeling in academic or industry settings.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.
  • Proficiency in optimization and simulation software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex modeling results into actionable strategies.
  • Proven track record of collaborative work based on trust and transparency.
