JOB TITLE: Night Commercial Gas Engineer

SHIFT PATTERN:
Sunday - Thursday 22:00-06:00

SALARY:
£52,000-£56,000 (dependent on experience)

ROLE OVERVIEW
A skilled Commercial Gas Engineer with expertise in installation and testing is sought for a long-term contract.

This role involves executing gas boiler installations, conducting tests, and commissioning while addressing mechanical faults and performing maintenance on mechanical systems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute gas boiler installations and provide testing results along with commissioning certifications.
  • Perform mechanical remedial tasks.
  • Attend to and resolve mechanical faults.
  • Conduct planned maintenance in line with the company's PPM and task schedules.
  • Undertake PPM activities with professionalism and quality.
  • Generate technical and situational reports as necessary.
  • Utilize technology systems effectively to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and clients.
  • Participate in team meetings and briefings as required.
  • Ensure the company is represented positively at all times.
  • Report any significant site issues or incidents to your line manager promptly.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation, being aware of your responsibilities within the company.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Certification for access to specific areas is necessary, with expectations for accreditation upon successful application.
  • JIB-PMES approved.
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 -
    Minimum- (Heating & Ventilation/Plumbing & Refrigeration and air conditioning).
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3: -
    Preferred- (Heating & Ventilation/ Plumbing & Refrigeration and air conditioning).
  • GAS Safe certification.
Domestic Gas

  • CCN- Core Gas Safety.
  • CENWAT - Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers & Gas Water Heaters.
  • CKR- Domestic Cookers.
  • DAH1- Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Ducted Air Heaters.
Commercial Gas

  • COCN- Core Commercial Gas Safety Assessment.
  • CDGA- Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances & Equipment.
  • CIGA- Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances & Equipment.
  • CORT- Commercial Overhead Luminous Radiant Plaque and Radiant Tube Heaters.
  • ICPN- Installation of Commercial Pipework.
  • TPCP1A - Testing and Purging Commercial Pipework to the requirements of IGE/UP/1A.
  • BMP1- Commercial Gas Boosters.

Other Qualifications:

  • Hot Water Systems and Safety Course G3 (Part G3 Building Regulations).
  • Water regulations & L8.

Desirable:

  • Sentinel- LU-ICI (London Underground Industry Common Induction).
