Project Overview: This role is part of a project focused on constructing a pioneering large-diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline in the northwest of England.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Project Manager - Trenchless and oversee the coordination and execution of site investigation activities for the design of multiple tunnels on a major infrastructure project.
  • Provide leadership to field personnel, collaborating closely with the broader project management team to ensure successful execution of works.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned technical and engineering aspects of the project.
  • Lead the maintenance of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on-site.
  • Identify potential project challenges, guiding the team in developing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Work with third-party contractors to establish feasible timelines and working practices.
  • Specify and schedule site investigations, including geotechnical, geophysical, and topographical surveys.
  • Complete independent project-related tasks while collaborating with multidisciplinary design and project teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably civil or geotechnical.
  • Current or pursuing membership in an engineering professional body.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD or ArcGIS.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Strong project management and supervisory capabilities.
  • Valid driving license.
