Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nightshift Team Leader to join our team at ABM. As a Nightshift Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of cleaning staff to ensure that areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times. You will also be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards, ensuring equipment is used, cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly, and dealing with any management requests promptly and courteously.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff to achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards and ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used, cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.
  • Deal with any management requests promptly and courteously.
  • Plan and coordinate workloads and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Monitor and assess team performance and provide feedback to employees.
  • Assist with the daily operation and any ad-hoc tasks.
  • Ensure that all team members are familiar with and adhere to the Company's Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete HR-related tasks for staff under your control as agreed with the Manager.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents and revise risk assessments where necessary.
  • Control team holidays and provide sufficient cover and allocate cleaning tasks during periods of staff absence or holidays.

Requirements:

  • Leadership skills and experience of leading a team.
  • Flexibility and ability to work within a team as well as independently.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and previous cleaning experience and leadership skills required.
  • Awareness of importance on Health & Safety Policies & procedures.
  • IPAF preferred, but not essential training will be given.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
