Lookers is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to enhance our dedicated workshop team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for conducting thorough vehicle health assessments utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, performing routine maintenance services, and executing necessary repairs.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with John Knight, our experienced general manager, who will provide continuous support and resources to help you excel in your position. We are committed to your professional growth, offering exceptional career advancement and training opportunities, including manufacturer-specific certifications and specialized training in Hybrid & Electric vehicles.
Our technicians are essential to delivering outstanding customer service, and we are eager for you to contribute to our team's success. If you are a certified Vehicle Technician or a skilled Mechanic, whether from a dealership or an independent garage, we welcome your application.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle health checks using state-of-the-art technology.
- Execute vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer specifications and customer preferences.
- Conduct additional repairs upon customer authorization.
- Carry out warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines and ensure proper documentation.
- Test drive customer vehicles to confirm all issues have been resolved.
- Complete all necessary paperwork with precision and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a workshop environment. You should be self-driven, ambitious, and eager to expand your skill set while maintaining high standards of work. A full UK driving license and completion of NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification are essential. An MOT License is advantageous but not mandatory.
While previous experience with our brand is beneficial, it is not a requirement, as comprehensive brand training will be provided.
