We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Careers Guidance Professional to join our Advice & Recruitment Team at Newham Sixth Form College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing professional career guidance services to our students, helping them to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed for successful career planning and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal guidance interviews to students, providing tailored advice and guidance to support their career development.
  • Develop and deliver careers-related learning programs to groups, ensuring that students have access to high-quality information, advice, and guidance.
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that our students receive comprehensive support and guidance throughout their time at the college.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest career trends, labor market information, and industry developments, using this knowledge to inform your guidance and advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective careers education and guidance strategies that meet the needs of our students.
Requirements
  • Hold a Level 6 qualification in Careers Advice and Guidance or equivalent.
  • Have significant experience of delivering careers-related learning to groups and providing information, advice, and guidance services in a post-16 setting.
  • Be familiar with the CDI Framework and Gatsby Benchmarks, and able to apply this knowledge in your work.
  • Have experience of supporting UCAS and clearing processes, providing up-to-date advice and guidance to students and staff.
  • Be an effective communicator, able to work with a wide range of people and organizations, and possess excellent written and verbal skills.
