Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, focusing on their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Use restorative practices and positive reinforcement techniques to promote positive behavior and attitudes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior management strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as Psychology, Criminology, or Education.
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH needs and associated learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
