Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care Service at West Berkshire Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individuals' needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide practical support, equipment, and adaptations to help individuals maintain their independence.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation programs in line with best practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and provide reports as required.
Requirements
  • A recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working within a social care setting, ideally supporting adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users, carers, and professionals.
  • The ability to manage a caseload, prioritizing and organizing your work effectively.
  • A commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and empowerment for individuals.
