Job Summary

The Telegraph is seeking a highly skilled Health Guides Editor to lead the commissioning and editing of health guides, focusing on authority, engagement, accuracy, and search optimization. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices and experience in commissioning SEO-focused utility features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and edit evergreen and innovative content with visually appealing elements, ensuring effective optimization for search engines.
  • Write clear briefs for writers and visual editors, outlining the requirements for high-quality content production.
  • Maintain organized and updated guide content, ensuring timely delivery at a high standard.
  • Edit copy to the highest standard, updating guides within the CMS and collaborating with design, picture editing, and social departments for top-quality content production.
  • Build strong relationships with writers and contribute to idea discussions, driving the creation of engaging and informative health guides.

Requirements

  • Experience in commissioning SEO-focused utility features and a deep understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Background in digital publishing and CMS usage is crucial, with proficiency in analytics tools for story commissioning.
  • Ability to handle diverse content and ensure timely delivery at a high quality, with a focus on accuracy and engagement.
  • Commission writers with detailed digital-friendly briefs, ensuring clear communication and high-quality output.
