About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join our team at Outcomes First Group. As a SENCO, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students with complex needs, including autism and other neurodiverse conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN, including autism and other neurodiverse conditions.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need to access the curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on SEN and autism, including strategies for supporting students with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure that students receive consistent support and that their needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to SEN and autism.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with students with SEN, including autism and other neurodiverse conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN and autism, including strategies for supporting students with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and carers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
