Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outdoor Adventure Leader to join our team at Ultimate Activity. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality outdoor education program to children aged 7-14.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging outdoor activities, including bushcraft and survival skills, to promote participation, skill development, and enjoyment.
  • Manage a team of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality activities and care for children on-site.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding protocols.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including parents, host school representatives, and Head Office, to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues.
  • Manage administrative duties, including staff rotas, registration, and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
  • Collaborate with other program teams to ensure a seamless experience for children and staff.
  • Continuously promote the welfare of children in care and ensure high-quality childcare provision.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in outdoor education, with a focus on bushcraft and working with children in an outdoor setting.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, ideally in the outdoor education or holiday camp sectors.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with parents and host school staff.
  • Good working knowledge of outdoor activities and programs.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and adapt to situations as needed.
  • Proactive and conscientious approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Paediatric First Aid or Outdoor First Aid qualification.
  • Relevant NGBs or experience in outdoor activities, such as canoeing, archery, or environmental studies.
