About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Exams Officer with Teaching Cover to join our team at Underley Garden School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and wellbeing of our pupils and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver lessons to cover teacher absence and provide pastoral support where necessary.
  2. Support in classes across the school to cover teaching assistant absence and manage the behaviour of students to ensure a safe and inspiring learning environment.
  3. Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition of work and resources.
  4. Collect and return completed work and resources to the appropriate teacher or subject lead.
  5. Work alongside teachers and teaching assistants to create a positive environment for all pupils.
  6. Plan lessons if required and take on the role of Exams Officer for our small cohort of young people.
