About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical HVAC Site Supervisor to join our team at G&H Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical installation on projects across various sectors, including commercial, health, education, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities, including Risk Assessments, Inductions, Toolbox talks, and Plant inspections.
  • Ensure daily records and diary sheets are maintained for future reference.
  • Deploy directly employed and subcontract/specialist labor.
  • Maintain day-to-day liaison and program of work with main contractors and other subcontractors.
  • Inspect the work of direct employees and subcontractors for quality, progress, and satisfactory completion.
  • Measure and record progress of work.
  • Monitor progress of the main contractor to ensure the agreed program is met.
  • Manage delivery of bulk orders to achieve client program, along with general day-to-day ordering.
  • Coordinate specialist subcontractors for site attendance.
  • Provide information for cost variation investigations when necessary.
  • Supervise training of apprentices assigned to the project.
  • Ensure compliance of all work, whether executed by own operatives or subcontractors, with drawings and specifications.
  • Arrange and supervise commissioning and testing on completion, including compliance with specifications, snagging, and operational handing over as directed and final site clearance, to a high standard.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position from a contracting background. Required qualifications include NVQ 3 Heating & Ventilation Industrial & Commercial or NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and CCS Gold Card. Gas Safe Registered would be considered an advantage.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Good level of IT literacy and strong organization skills.
  • A desire to embrace training and development and progression within a business.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • First Aid Course.
