Job Title: Stores / Yard Person

We are seeking a dedicated Stores/Yard Operative to manage and maintain our stock and yard operations in our depot on Wallsend in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Goods In/Out operations
  • Accurately operate the COINS Stock system
  • Conduct regular stock counts and anomaly checks
  • Oversee the float for consumables
  • Man the Service Desk/Goods In Area
  • Manage material movement and storage in the yard
  • Prepare material packs
  • Ensure cleanliness
  • Support stock checks and audits
  • Monitor waste bins
  • Assist mechanics with plant and vehicle movement
Requirements:
  • Telehandler Trained (or willing to train)
  • Valid Driving Licence (Cat B – minimum)
  • Experience in a Yard/Stores position using computerised stock systems eg COINS, SAGE
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Take initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with Operational Gangs and the Service Desk
