The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all rooms and common areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Identify and address any issues or concerns related to housekeeping, such as equipment malfunctions or staff performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure that all areas of the hotel are functioning smoothly.
  • Develop and implement training programs for housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor and control housekeeping expenses, including supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping staff are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement procedures for handling guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities management role.
  • Proven track record of success in supervising and coordinating housekeeping staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.

The Housekeeping Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests, staff, and other departments. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
