Program Details

Participants can receive funding of up to £3,700 for an eight-week, part-time online market discovery program. This initiative employs lean start-up methodologies, applying the scientific method of hypothesizing, testing, and evaluating to the commercialization process.

Team Composition

While a full team is not mandatory, it is recommended that participants identify their technology transfer office and notify their principal scientific advisor or senior researcher.

Roles within the TeamEntrepreneurial Lead

This role is essential for the program's success. The entrepreneurial lead can be any research or technical staff member, including PhD students, technicians, postdoctoral researchers, or group leaders, who is salaried by an eligible institution.

Principal Scientific Advisor

A researcher providing intellectual support to the entrepreneurial lead throughout the program.

Technology Transfer Representative

A professional responsible for leading the commercialization of the intellectual asset, ensuring attendance at essential sessions and providing ongoing support.

Business Advisor

A knowledgeable individual from a relevant industry sector who can offer valuable guidance and support to the team.
