Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airfield Wildlife Control Operator to join our team at Air Partner. As an Airfield Wildlife Control Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of aircraft by eliminating the presence of birds and other wildlife on the airfield.
About the Role
The Airfield Wildlife Control Operator will be responsible for:
- Eliminating the presence of birds and other wildlife on the airfield using bioacoustics, pyrotechnics, and other methods.
- Recording all movements and activities in a digital watch log.
- Dispatching wildlife as a last resort, under the strict guidelines of Natural England, the Police, and Local Airfield Management.
- Working autonomously for long periods of time, with minimal supervision.
- Using technology, including a tablet and WhatsApp, to record findings and communicate with team members.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Be colour perception safe.
- Hold a valid manual UK driving licence.
- Be able to apply and maintain security clearance.
- Live within a maximum of 45 minutes' drive from RAF Brize Norton.
- Be happy to work outside in all weathers.
- Have an ability to think on your feet and cope with pressure as it arises.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12 and 25 shifts holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays. This role would suit someone who is fairly active outside of work, likes their own company, is flexible, and supportive with a team ethos.
