Job Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Minor Injuries Unit team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for autonomously assessing, treating, and discharging patients aged over 1 year, and referring to appropriate in-patient specialties, primary care agencies, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage minor injury presentations as an autonomous practitioner
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Refer patients to appropriate in-patient specialties, primary care agencies, and other healthcare professionals as necessary
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Post-registration qualification in the management of minor injuries
  • Sufficient emergency care or MIU experience
  • Desirable: completion of advanced clinical assessment or independent prescribing
