Job Title: Part-Time Learning Support Assistant

JDS Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with a range of needs, including social emotional and mental health difficulties, autism, comprehension delay, challenging behaviour, dyslexia, and additional learning difficulties.

About the Role:
  • Support learners in a vocational training and apprenticeship provision for young people based in Waltham Forest.
  • Work on a part-time basis, committing to 2-3 days a week on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assist learners with a variety of needs, including those with SEND.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to learners, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
Requirements:
  • Maths and English at GCSE grade C and above or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, preferably in a vocational training or apprenticeship setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and referencing checks.
